Friday Night Family Shabbat
Our Friday night Family Shabbat service begins at 6:30 pm and all are invited to join us in a shortened Kabbalat Shabbat service that the whole family can enjoy.

Friday Night Kabbalat Shabbat
Our Friday night Kabbalat Shabbat service begins at 7:30 pm and all are invited to join us in welcoming the Shabbos bride

Pasta Dinner and Rock & Soul Shabbat
About every 3 months we gather at 5:45 pm on a Friday evening for a recession-priced Pasta Dinner followed at 7 pm by a joyous hand-clapping, singing and dancing musical service to celebrate the Sabbath in a way you've never experienced before!

Our very own smokin' Temple Beth El Band plays jazz, rock, gospel, and folk melodies for our ancient prayers...as Cantor Manny and some special guest performers lead us in prayer.

Shlomo Carlebach Services
At these special Friday evening events we sing the soulful and joyous music of Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach, who was called “The Singing Rabbi” for his Hassidic folk melodies that became famous around the world.

Our Carlebach services are enhanced by our amazing Temple Beth El musicians, who play guitar, bass, and bongos, as we welcome Shabbat with joy and gratitude!

Friday Nite Live
We sing and dance in the aisles, as we welcome Shabbat in a wonderful musical evening that includes
includes a Klezmer style band.

S
habbat Renewal Services
These spiritual and joyful Saturday morning services generally take place once a month.

Gentle yoga exercises, with a Jewish touch, help us clear our minds, balance our bodies, and get us ready to focus on our prayers.

Rabbi Allan Tuffs, playing his guitar, and Cantor Manny Silver, with his warm, melodious voice, lead the services.  Drums, tambourines, and shakers are available to all who want to join in. Our goal is to unite mind, body, and soul; our worship is on a deeper level and full of joy.

Sometimes these services are held outdoors, adding a symphony of birdsong to our music and prayers.  Indoors or out, for these very special services everyone is encouraged to dress casually.

A spirited Torah discussion and meditation, led by Rabbi Tuffs, round out these wonderful mornings, after which we share a sumptious lunch with Rabbi and Cantor Manny, to which we have each brought a vegetarian or dairy dish for four.

These very popular Saturday Shabbat services leave us with a wonderful feeling of peace and happiness.

The next joyful Shabbat Renewal service at Temple Beth El will be on Saturday, April 16, 2011, at 10:00 am. Please make a note of the 2011 dates that will follow:  May 21st and June 18th.
