Temple Beth El of Hollywood’s Social Action Committee is committed to Tikkun Olam, “repairing the world.”
We strive to make our community a better place and we encourage all of our temple members to join us. Everyone can get involved with events like our Mitzvah Day and Peanut Butter and Jelly Sundays. Throughout the year we collect food and clothing for those in need. Please do whatever you can to help.
Temple Beth El of Hollywood is also a partner in Hollywood Cares along with the First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood. Hollywood Cares is a non-profit organization that raises funds and awareness to support an orphanage and school in Haiti for children affected by HIV/AIDS.
We are proud of our members’ efforts to help those in our community that are less fortunate. With your continued support we can make a difference.
Food Drive for Goodman JFS Cupboard
Join us this year to help make a difference in our community. We are coordinating an ongoing collection of non-perishable foods for the Goodman JFS Cupboard, a kosher food pantry for Broward County. Collection bins will be placed at Temple Beth El and volunteer opportunities to sort at the pantry are also available. Specific needs include oatmeal, fruit cups/canned fruit, canned soups, 1lb bags of brown and white rice, small condiments and small jelly. Your donation will help reduce the number of Jews who go to bed hungry every night. For more information about volunteering, please contact The Cupboard at 954-530-7555.
