AN OPEN LETTER TO THE
ENTIRE CONGREGATION OF Dear Congregant, One of the myriad ways you can support our campaign is through a provision in your Will or Trust, leaving assets that your heirs may not want, or, items you may not want to leave for them. Items may include your home, precious metals, jewelry, art, antiques, other real estate holdings and/or other possessions. You may also wish to consider a provision in your Will or Trust, leaving a portion or percentage of your estate to Temple Beth El. What better way to teach your children about Tzedakah than by example. You probably have already given this some thought. If not, please think about it. Are you concerned that heirs may dispose of items at a fraction of their value? Have you pondered what will happen if you leave items in your estate to heirs that may not want them? What if more than one heir wants a particular item? Rather than attempt to be King Solomon, why not bequeath it to Temple Beth El! If you are interested in learning more about how you can participate, Please call any of us listed below at 954-920-8225. BEQUESTS One of the most common of all planned gifts, Temple Beth El is bequeathed a gift in a donor’s Will. The gift may be designated as (a) percentage of the donor’s estate, (b) specific dollar amount or description of property, (c) residual of the donor’s estate, or (d) contingent upon a certain event happening. Estate taxes can be reduced by the value of the gift to the non-profit organization. Gifts by Will can be made irrevocable (see link to Irrevocable Will). For additional information on this or other giving opportunities, please call the Temple Beth El office at 954-920-8225. Thank you. |
