The Joy of Yiddish Club   Al Lipton, Leader.   Come and enjoy some “mamme loshen” and nostalgia with the singing of traditional Yiddish folk songs and maybe dance the hora. Enjoy Yiddish humor, “hochma”, and the rich tradition of our culture and heritage.  First Tuesday of the month from 10:30 am - noon.  Oct. 7, Nov. 4, Dec. 2; Jan. 6, 2009, Feb. 3, Mar. 3, April 7, May  5.   Everyone welcome—no charge!

Temple Beth El Readers Book Club  The first book to be discussed is “People of the Book”
by Geraldine Brooks; this is a sweeping adventure through five centuries of history and is inspired by the true story of a mysterious codex known as the Sarajevo Haggadah. Meetings are the 2nd Thursday of the month from 10:30 am - Noon
